The current Government COVID-19 rules are:
  • Stay at home
  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
  • If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home
  • Do not meet others, even friends or family.

You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.

The Government have said that if you have a medical condition which makes you extremely vulnerable to Coronavirus (COVID-19), you can register and tell them if you need additional support, such as requesting food parcels or help with getting prescriptions.

You may have received a letter from the NHS telling you that you’re clinically extremely vulnerable, or have been contacted by your GP or hospital clinician. The government have said that if this has not happened yet, you should contact your GP or clinician after you register with this service.

If possible you should continue to rely on friends, family and wider support to help you as the Government service may take a little while to start.

You can register yourself, or on behalf of someone else.
