Herts Careline received a Royal thank you from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex this week after the community alarm and telecare service wished the well on their wedding day.

Herts Careline helps thousands of residents live independently at home and many of their customers had shared with the service their plans to mark Prince Harry’s special day – some had tea parties and some planned to watch the big day with their families. Herts Careline decided to write to the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to pass on their and our good wishes.

The service was delighted to receive the official thank you card from Kensington Palace,  including an envelope featuring the Palace's crest, and  a charming photograph of Harry and Meghan on their wedding day by photographer Alexi Lubomirski.

The message read: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind cards and letters they have received on the occasion of their Wedding, and are so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did. It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their very best wishes."

Cllr Bernard Lovewell, North Hertfordshire District Council’s (NHDC) Executive Member for Housing and Environmental Health, said: "On behalf of our customers we wanted to congratulate The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their Wedding Day. We wrote to them wishing them a happy day and sunshine – which was delivered! We were thrilled to receive a response and their best wishes."
