Dementia Action Week 2024 - how technology can provide support

To mark this important week, we’re highlighting our partnership with other with other local organisations, including Age UK Hertfordshire, Carers in Herts, Mind, HILS, HertsHelp and North Herts Minority Ethnic Forum which form Hertswise.

Hertswise is a service designed for people living with dementia, low level memory loss, disorientation or mild cognitive impairment.

Each of the partners involved with Hertswise have a specialism. Ours is to provide the assistive technology that can support a person living with dementia to stay independent and safe.

Our assistive technology services are designed to support people living with memory issues. Technology can help manage risks, improve quality of life, offer reassurance, and support residents in variety of ways. It can reduce the risks of an accident in the home by automatically triggering an alert call if it senses a risk, such as smoke, excessive heat or carbon monoxide.
