We can’t believe that a whole year has passed since we enjoyed the celebrations of our 40th Anniversary. And what a year it’s been! Let’s have a look at some of our highlights:
  • Approximately 16,000 people supported with independence, reassurance and emergency help from our 24/7 control room
  • Approximately 7,300 medical emergency calls from community alarms answered since July 2022 – July 2023
  • Continued our partnership with Hertfordshire County Council to provide an affordable, subsidised telecare service across the county
  • Winners at the national Control Room Awards – Team of the Year
  • Continued membership of Which? The Telecare Services Association and Telehealthcare – keeping us regulated and informed
  • Various Pilots of new technologies in progress to develop our offering of assistive technology across Hertfordshire
  • New Sheltered Schemes monitoring taken on to support those living in warden-controlled settings
  • Over 3,000 digital upgrades of the assistive technology equipment completed ahead of schedule, in preparation for the analogue telephone system which is being replaced with a digital system. This was scheduled to end by the end 2025, but many regions are being switched over daily - so we were well prepared, and our users did not experience a disruption to their service.
  • Meetings with many hospital departments to keep them informed about our Referral process and equipment available
  • Visits to many social care and community groups to share the knowledge of how we can help support those in their care
  • Five years in our new and improved Control Room in Letchworth Garden City, allowing us the space to grow
  • Expanded the recycling capabilities of the service by refurbishing more equipment to improve our carbon footprint and reduce costs for the council
  • Our vehicles are now all fully electric. From April 2023 - June 23 we have driven over 21,126 fully electric miles in the eVehicles that the Careline Technicians use to install and maintain alarm equipment across the county.

Here’s to Year 41 and many more highlights.
