Herts Careline is recruiting for Call Operators providing initial administration support.

Location: Letchworth

Main place of work

Your Office base will be Council Offices, Letchworth. However, on occasion it will be necessary to work from the disaster recovery site at short notice; also based in Letchworth. There may also be a requirement to work from home.

You will be required to have the capacity to attend either of our Letchworth locations within 30mins of your home address.

Herts Careline is looking to recruit Call operators providing initial administration support. This is on a temporary contract until 27th March 2022. However, if further funding is agreed, this could be extended. There may also the opportunity to further your training to become a full fledge Emergency Call Handler, a perfect opportunity to see how the Careline works.

We are looking to cover the service from 7am to 11pm Monday to Sunday. We are open to discussing with individuals regarding their flexibility and working hours.

For all positions you will be providing administration and routine non-emergency calls to help support the emergency call handlers.

You may handle housing repair calls, log equipment faults, data inputting, call our service users to test equipment or cancel calls to the ambulance service or our responders.

About You

We are looking for motivated, caring, and hardworking individuals to help the Careline provide the best possible care to our service users. To succeed you must possess a genuine desire to help people, be empathetic to our service user’s needs, be highly proactive adaptable to change and able to work in a high-pressured environment with high levels of autonomy. Must be computer literate.

Pay

The starting salary for all positions is £10.66 per hour. There are enhancements in addition for any evening work 8pm-6am (@ 0.3) and weekend work (@ 0.5)
