Office base will be Council Offices, Letchworth. However, on occasion it will be necessary to work from the disaster recovery site at short notice; also based in Letchworth, and you will be required to have the capacity to attend that location as soon as is reasonably practicable, or within 30mins as a maximum

Herts Careline is recruiting for a Repairs Operator

Working 16.5hrs every other week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

The rota can be requested.

You need to be able to complete all shifts stated on the rota for which you are applying for.

For this position, the Repairs Operator’s principal task is to monitor both emergency and routine repair calls, taking appropriate action, including calling out the relevant engineer or escalation manager where necessary, relaying messages and making concise and accurate records of all action taken. Repair calls may come from residents directly, contractors or housing associations. In addition, you may also handle Environmental health, Homeless and IT call outs.

About You:

Full training will be provided but you must be motivated, caring, and hardworking and have a genuine interest in handling these types of calls.

To succeed as a Repairs Operator, you must possess a genuine desire to help people, be empathetic to our customers’ needs, be highly proactive adaptable to change and able to work in a high-pressured environment. Must be computer literate.

Pay:

The starting salary for all positions is £10.37 per hour. There are enhancements in addition for any evening work 8pm-6am (@ 0.3) and weekend work (@ 0.5)
