International Control Room Week 2026: Celebrating Herts Careline Emergency Operator Team

Join us in celebrating International Control Room Week (from October 26 to November 1) and showing our appreciation for our emergency call operators, who demonstrate compassion and resilience when supporting people during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Our Herts Careline operators provide vital support to thousands of residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, taking calls for medical emergencies, welfare checks, and reassurance.

Within the past year alone, the team handled hundreds of thousands of calls from residents, with the impact made through these calls clearly reflected in the comments of our service users:

“They actually saved my life before when I needed help in a seizure, I couldn’t respond and they instantly called 999 which was so lucky and that’s why I trust them.”

We’d like to say a massive thank you to our fantastic call operator team for their invaluable work and dedication as well as all other emergency call operator teams. Their consistent commitment is greatly appreciated and admirable.
