It’s Carers Week. Join us in celebrating the 5.8 million carers in the UK caring for a family member, friend or neighbour.
This year’s theme for Carers Week is ‘Caring about Equality’, calling for greater equality for unpaid carers. Carers of all ages often miss out on opportunities in their education, careers, or personal lives, because of their caring role. Despite contributing an estimated £184 billion to the UK economy each year, many carers feel underappreciated and unsupported. It’s important we raise awareness for carers to promote a culture where they are truly valued, recognised, and supported.
If you or someone you know is a carer in need of support, help is available.
