As the colder months approach, staying safe becomes even more important. In partnership with Hertfordshire County Council, Herts Careline provides a 24/7 emergency community alarm and telecare service to help people remain safe, independent and reassured at home throughout the winter and beyond.

Herts Careline is for older and vulnerable residents across Hertfordshire. With a simple-to-use digital alarm and pendant button, help is always within reach. Whether you experience a fall, feel unwell, or need urgent assistance, a trained call operator is available day and night to help.

Winter can bring additional challenges, from icy conditions and longer nights to seasonal illnesses and concerns about being alone. Herts Careline offers reassurance that support is available whenever it is needed, helping residents stay independent in their own homes with confidence.

The service also provides peace of mind for family and friends, particularly if loved ones live some distance away or are unable to visit regularly during the winter months. Knowing that professional help can be contacted at the press of a button can reduce worry and provide reassurance that someone is always there when needed.

The award-winning service’s recent customer satisfaction survey results gave glowing feedback with 100% of respondents saying they felt more reassured having the Careline service, and 100% believing family and friends have greater peace of mind now they have the service.

Calls are answered from the control room, based at the Council offices in Letchworth, where dedicated operators can provide reassurance, arrange help, or respond to emergencies 24/7.

In addition, the All OK reassurance service is available across the UK. This automated daily welfare call provides a daily prompt to help ensure a person is safe and well, providing extra confidence for both users and their families.

Residents can apply online or by post – to find out and request a brochure, visit www.care-line.co.uk or call 0300 999 2 999.
