With Hospitals across Hertfordshire facing pressures, Herts Careline is hoping its Hospital Discharge community alarm service is offering some relief to professionals who wish to discharge patients home with support on hand 24/7 to help with their continued recovery.Herts Careline's Hospital Discharge services enables us to provide hospitals serving the Hertfordshire community with a package of telecare for patients who are due to be discharged from hospital, to allow them to return home safely and more quickly.

What is a key safe?

Description
We recommend you get a key safe when you sign up for our community alarm service.We can supply and install this secure metal box to the outside of your home for free, which will contain an additional front door key to your property. The emergency services can get the key using a confidential code, which we will issue if you require their assistance, to gain access to your property, if needed.

New 'Warm Spaces' directory launched in Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire County Council, and the county's ten district and borough councils, have today, Thursday 27 October, launched a new directory of public spaces and buildings which people can use as warm, welcoming spaces as temperatures drop.This online directory will let people find libraries, family centres and community spaces near them where they can stay safe and warm. Many will also be running additional activities to provide people with the opportunity to meet others and take part in events such as slipper swaps for older people in libraries and stay and play events in family centres for families with young children.
