This winter initiative aims to make the transition to the service even more comforting for new users.

Description: We've had reports from a service user receiving a call from a company pretending they have taken over the Herts Careline service. They told them they were going to cancel their alarm unit and send new pendants, so had to provide bank details. Luckily this service user refused to give the details and reported it to us at Herts Careline.Please be vigilant and advise loved ones using our service that this is categorically not the case and to never give out bank details to companies portraying to be us.

Description: On Remembrance Day we will be observing the two-minute silence at 11am, as we remember all those who gave their lives in two world wars and many other conflicts to defend our freedoms, and the service and sacrifices the Armed Forces have made on our behalf. We will remember them.

Description: This weekend, mobile phones in the UK will be sent a test Emergency Alert at around 15:00 on Sunday 7th September 2025, the test alert will be sent to all compatible 4G and 5G mobile phones and compatible tablets across the UK.The Emergency Alerts system is used to warn if there's a danger to life nearby, including extreme weather. It allows vital information and advice to be sent to people rapidly in an emergency.Regular testing ensures the system is functioning correctly, should it be needed in an emergency and the test will function like a real life Emergency Alert.
